Is this a foreshadow?

So, the UN has appointed a Malaysian astrophysicist to be earths first contact with aliens.
"She is scheduled to tell delegates that the recent discovery of hundreds of planets around other stars has made the detection of extraterrestrial life more likely than ever before - and that means the UN must be ready to coordinate humanity’s response to any “first contact”." Holy crap? I certainly hope that what Stephen Hawking said isn't going to be true.

Sorry if someone else has written about this already. Didn't search for it in my dashboard, just kinda came across "BREAKING NEWS".

    I really hope that aliens are friendly but I think it'd be an extremely slim chance. Anything that survives interstellar travel has got to be deadly.

    Better be safe than sorry, but I don't hold the same enthusiasm that Hawking has about the probability of intelligent life.

    most physicist think that it is possible that alien life forms doesn't care about our existence.
